I use Googlemail a lot. Mostly out of the genious Web Interface, but sometimes I tend to use the Mail.app that comes with MacOSX. There is some trouble going on with configuring Mail.app right, that there are no dublicates of your messages. But its not that hard.

What I painfully found out today was, that if you chance the language of your Gmail Webinterface … well don’t.

I used the german Interface, but I had to change the language to english because a plugin I needed was only availlable in english. What Gmail does when you change the language of your interface is to change the names of all Labes / IMAP Folders in the background. So my “Alle Nachrichten” folder got renamed to “All messages” which screwed up my Mail.app and I had to resync the whole Account – which takes about three hours with my 30.000 + Messages.

It seems although as if there is no data corruption – only the need to resync everything.

Hallo zusammen,

ich saß am 18. Mai im Hamburger Kunstverein auf einem interessanten Podium zum Thema “Wer glotzt TV” … also mal wieder die Zukunft des Fernsehens.

Die Veranstaltung wurde mitgedreht und in nächster Zeit werde ich an dieser Stelle den fertigen Film posten. Bis dahin hänge ich schon einmal die Präsentation, welche ich vor Ort gehalten habe an dieses Posting an.

Ich habe heute im Deutschlandradio Kultur ein Interview zum Thema Cloud Culture … oder so … gegeben. Das Ding wird in der Reihe Breitband am Samstag um ca. 14.00 Uhr zu hören sein. Ich werde einen Podcast-Link nach Ausstrahlung nachreichen.

Am 15.04.2010 habe ich vorm SIBB einen Vortrag über Cloud Computing insbesondere über Cloud Security gehalten. Es ist eine gute Tradition geworden solche Folien ins Netz zu stellen – hier also meine Präsi zum Thema.

Ich bin ja ständig auf der Suche nach neuen Ansätzen für die Zukunft des Fernsehens. Insbesondere das Thema webTV lässt mich ja bekanntlich nicht los. Anbei ein Beispielfilm.
